چکیده
How might historical queer and trans activist tactics visions of the future be used to invigorate contemporary LGBTQ+ politics thought? This article provides an introduction ‘Imagining Queer Europe Then Now’ special issue Third Text, which emerges from final conference pan-European history project ‘Cruising Seventies’. We identify uneven complex ways in activism, networks, erotic connections, forms cultural expression manifested across 1970s, these intersected with anti-racist, anti-colonial, anti-fascist feminist struggles same era. argue for excavation unrealised possibilities pasts futures, proposing that social interaction, aesthetic intervention, can provide fresh perspectives on past its recovery.
